    Description

Call of the Wild | Call of the Wild Bundle | Call of the Wild Unit | Call of the Wild Project

The Call of the Wild is an excellent book that has many areas that can be focused on both during and after reading. Provided for you here are three in-depth activities to use while teaching The Call of the Wild in your classroom.

The journal unit plan can be used while students are reading the novel. When students have a routine assignment to complete for each chapter of a novel, students often progress easier through the novel. These chapter journal entries all follow the same structure and provide that routine for the students.

The other two activities included in this bundle can be used at the end of the novel. One is a set of four essay topics. Providing students the option of choice in picking their topic often elicits higher quality essays that students are more invested in. The other is a culminating project that combines creativity with comprehension. This book cover project provides students an opportunity to not only identify the primary theme of the book but also justify their choice with some argumentative writing.

    You'll receive:

A detailed lesson plan with rationale and instructions for each product in the bundle, student handouts for replication, and keys and rubrics to assist you in assessing student work.
