Description

Give your students the opportunity to teach themselves the historic battles of the Seven Years War!!!

Students will be put into groups (I recommend groups of 4) and select the battle from the Seven Years War that they would like to research and create a Google Slides presentation to share with their class!

Battles the students can choose from:

  • Battle of Montmorency
  • Battle of Fort Bull
  • Battle of Fort Duquesne
  • Battle of Lake George
  • Battle of Fort Necessity
  • Battle of the Plains of Abraham
  • Battle on Snowshoes
  • Kittanning Expedition
  • Battle of Bloody Creek
  • Siege of Louisbourg

Students will be answering the following questions:

  • Why was this battle fought?
  • Who attacked first?
  • What was the goal of the battle?
  • What was the significance of this battle on the course of the War?
  • What were the effects for both sides after the battle? Who won?

Their classmates will all be able to take notes using the Battle Day Presentation Worksheet.

Stuck on creating groups - try out the Personality Based Group Activities!
