Description

Back to School Goal Setting Activity | DIGITAL & PRINTABLE VERSIONS

The beginning of the academic year is a fresh start which makes a great time to set goals for the year ahead. Inspire your students to set achievable goals with this fun and engaging "one word" project. The contents of this project can be broken down and spread out across an entire week, with 4 scaffolded steps. This product comes with both a digital and a print version!

This is a cross-curricular activity, integrating both Language and Visual arts, and it also doubles as room decor! Students can create 2 products through this activity: written reflection on their previous school year and goal setting for the upcoming year, as well as an art piece in which they focus on their "one word" for the new school year. This can make a great classroom bulletin for students to refer to and be reminded of as they start off the academic year!

What's included:

• Google Slides presentation to guide lessons with step-by-step instructions

• Printable Graphic Organizer for student response

• Digital Graphic Organizer for student response

• Art Card Printable Template (for bulletin board use)

• Instructions & Terms of Use

To Use:

This is a Google Drive file! Once purchased, you can download the Google Drive folder that comes with all 4 products in it.

Open up Google slides and lead students through each step and phase of this fun and engaging project! You will have 2 tangible assessment pieces by the end of the project - writing assessment as well as visual arts. Engage with students while they work to learn about their interests and goals for this school year.

After students have finished all parts of the project, you can extend by having them share their word and what it means to them with the class. Happy Goal Setting! :)
