Back to School Bundle - Community Building & ELA

Use this Back to School bundle for the first days and weeks of school this year! One Word Goal Setting ELA & Arts Project

This is a cross-curricular activity, integrating both Language and Visual arts, and it also doubles as room decor! Students will create 2 products through this activity: written reflection on their previous school year and goal setting for the year ahead, as well as an art piece in which they focus on their "one word" for the new school year. This can make a great classroom bulletin for students to refer to and be reminded of as they start off the academic year!

Letter to My Future Self Writing Time Capsule Activity

This writing activity is a great opportunity to allow students to journal their thoughts, reflect on their feelings, and set intention for the year ahead. In the first days or week of school, students will write themselves a letter to be opened at the end of the school year. Writing prompts are included to guide students in their writing, and a lesson covering letter format is also included! This writing activity makes for such a special surprise at the end of the school year when you present it back to them, and they have so much fun reading what they wrote so many months ago.
