This resource has handwritten notes for the third topic of the new Applications and Interpretations SL course, for first exams in 2021. There will be significant overlap with the A&A Topic 3, and this is a subset of A&I HL Topic 3. I wrote and sold notes for the current IB courses, which have been fairly successful, so I am in the process of writing notes for the new courses, from scratch. My hope is that you will have a look at this free download, and if it seems like it would be helpful

TRIGONOMETRY: The Law of Cosines

The Law of Cosines is a law that features in geometry and is often used to find the length of an unknown side of a triangle when the length of two sides of the triangle and the measure of the angle they form are known. This angle is called the included angle. Knowing two sides and the included angle is referred to as SAS. The triangles given are not right triangles. This document gives sufficient examples about this concept. It also discusses the rules used to solve the triangle.

Trigonometry Study Guide

Use this study guide as a unit pre-read or test review day! All topics include a YouTube tutorial and space to write down and try examples. This is great for students to work at their own pace to get a good understanding of the types of concepts that will be covered before the unit begins, or to use to supplement a unit test study guide. This work takes about 90 minutes and is self-explanatory and self-checking, done independently online. Enjoy your prep-free, stress-free class period! :) Topics
