This is meant for one challenging word problem. The students’ overall work can be assessed instead of just whether or not they get the correct answer. It Is flexible enough to let any student have some success solving difficult problems. It can also be a good guide to help teachers correct student thinking while solving

This checklist is designed for upper elementary grades. It is a great way to make students accountable for their work before they yell "I'm done!"
I also use this in math groups and designate students to be in charge of each component on the checklist.
