It focuses on nonfiction text features to help students understand what they are and why using them helps them understand the information/text better. First Grade Math PALS
PALS is a wonderful intervention program. Within the books it suggests to make large game boards for instruction. Well now that is done for you! In this flip chart you will find the rules that should be displayed during the PALS work time and each game board that the teacher will need to teach the students how to use the game boards in their pairs. This flip chart is intended to go with the PALS program but can be used alone.

Introducing the penny, nickel dime and quarter in an interactive and engaging way. Each coin introduction included a math talk here a quick image is shown and the children turn and talk to a partner about what they see or notice. It is then followed up by an interactive activity. Each coin is a weeks worth of slides to be covered over a month period to work on one coin a week.
