These are artifact cards for a social studies mini unit for kindergarten (but can be used for any primary grade). The artifact cards include Ruby Bridges, MLKJ, and Abraham Lincoln. The focus is on "being a peacemaker" and "being a good citizen." Students are taught to be responsible, brave, and honest. Cards can be cut out and laminated, and "post cards" from these three peace makers are included...feel free to add your own "messages!"

Use bilingual resources to teach students the value of recycling. This lesson plan uses New York City's recycling visuals seen around the city to help teach students learn about what types of materials can or cannot be recycled. Students read a bilingual book, then complete an activity independently, then complete an activity as a group. This is best for younger students in a Bilingual, Dual-Language, or ESL environment. Common Core aligned!
