This six day unit is geared for sixth grade students. There are several activities in this unit. Students compare and contrast different artworks by Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo, listen to a story (helps with fluency in reading) and discuss what was read, students gather information from a news article, practice drawing the facial features, create their own self-portrait, and evaluate their own artwork. There is also a word search for students if they finish early.
