The Motivation Mini-Lesson is one for teachers to use while winding up or down the school, and even in the middle when motivation and effort seem to hard to find in our students. This lesson can be adapted for certain areas of character education or by content area. I used to teach a group of students every year how to raise and lower the flag, and it was their job once I signed off on them to manage the flags in the morning and afternoon. This training was designed for 5th and 6th grade students, but anyone who is doing this responsibility could benefit from it.
