Youth will examine the way that food products are marketed in relation to the way the food is actually produced. They will consider in particular how advertising can shape our perception of the way that animals are raised by the meat, egg, and dairy industries. Students will consider why food manufacturers use misleading labels on their products and analyze what those labels mean to consumers.
