Gravity of Paper Lab - 8th Grade Physical Science
Students will use writing to explore the concept of Gravity. This lesson includes a "lab" activity and a writing assignment. In the Lab students will explore how gravity affects pieces of paper dropped to the floor. Assignment includes a data table, graphing assignment and analysis questions. Also included in the lab is an extension activity for advanced students or students who finish early.

Gravity Unit - Build an egg parachute - Grade 8 Physical Science
This project is designed to illustrate the concept of gravity for physical science students. In small cooperative groups students will design and build a parachute that can safely delivery an egg dropped to the ground from a standard height. The parachutes are made out of simple materials that can be purchased at a grocery store and I generally drop the parachutes from the top of a ladder. This is a SUPER fun project that the kids love!
