Cell Organelle Want Ad - Life Science, 7th grade
This is one of the first projects in my cell unit. Students pick (or are assigned) one cell organelle from either a plant or animal cell. I differentiate for students of different abilities by giving harder organelles (like the rough or smooth ER) to higher achieving students and easier organelles (like the vacuole or cell wall) to lower achieving students. Students create a "Want Ad" for their organelle and come up with ways to describe it purpose without naming it in the Ad.
