Wants vs Needs: Teaching Science to 1st Graders (Common Core)
This lesson is the first science lesson in a unit about the needs of plants and animals including freshwater and sunlight. It helps students begin to differentiate between wants and needs. As nearly all the rest of my lessons, this one contains weather/season components that helps incorporate math into the lesson.
It is intended to be used with first graders, but could probably be used with kindergarten to second grade, also.
