Autumn Joys - Rhythmic Text Exploration and Composition Activities
Celebrate the joys of autumn, using Orff-based techniques to explore rhythmic poetry, extract and notate text rhythms, and compose simple rhythmic and/or melodic sequences.
I have carefully chosen words and phrases that will help your students be successful by using separate words for separate beats, for example, "falling leaves" for ti-ti ta. I've also included a variation of Keetman's building blocks for older students with the option to use eighth and sixteenth note combinations (one beat)
