This video is a really cute intro to slope. It uses a skier to help build student intuition about slope. It really helps to differentiate between no slope (undefined) and zero slope. I usually start off the unit asking students what they already know about slope, and then we watch this video to clear up all the misconceptions. There are no spoken words in this video, just images, so it is a wonderful intro for ELL/ESL students!
