This is a smart notebook file with a fun song, a few address the prompt quickwrite activities, and a list of things students can ensure they do the night before the state writing test. I had them create a poster to hang on their fridge with the ideas. My favorite slide is the prompt generating ideas slide. A list of possible prompts are given, and students will write down experiences from their lives that fit into those prompts to get ideas flowing.
