In this activity, based on the True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi, the class is asked to put Charlotte on trial for the murder of Mr. Hollybrass. Each student will play a role in the trial, either as lawyers for the defense or the prosecution, or as witnesses or jurors. The lawyers will come up with questions to ask the witnesses. Then students will conduct their trial.
