Folk Tales Around the World--a comprehensive study for elementary students
For elementary teachers, FOLK TALES AROUND THE WORLD is an extensive unit plan that includes reading, writing, speaking, listening and research activities. I have used this product in my classroom for several years to help students set independent reading goals in order to complete novels in a reasonable, or set amount of time.
On one side, figure out how many pages to read each day. On the back, the page to read to each day (stopping point).
These are especially helpful for your reluctant readers, or students who need help managing a longer novel. Included is a page calculator for AR libraries, and a page for non-AR libraries.
