This lesson is a great introduction to how to multiply fractions by fractions. It teaches students to use the array model and visually demonstrates how to multiply fractions. It also builds off prior knowledge and starts by having students multiply a whole number by a whole number, then a whole number by a fraction and finally a fraction by a fraction.
