Plants: Lesson 8: Pollination & Angiosperm Reproduction

Students explore pollination and angiosperm reproduction by looking at real flowers, playing online games, reading stories, drawing and more. As a brain break, students also have a run-around scavenger hunt to review previous plant information. This lesson may take 2-3 class periods, depending on how long your class periods are. I did this in 2 90 minute periods. That being said, there are additional relevant do-nows, hooks etc. included at the end so you can rearrange each day as you like.

BIOLOGY - SMART Notebook - Protein Synthesis with Dino DNA

Created by
SMARTERTEACHER
This SMART Notebook activity involves translating DNA strands, from the book Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, into a polypetide chain for protein synthesis. The notebook lesson includes three student worksheets, an amino acid chain and an mRNA decoding wheel. Students can translate and transcribe a forty amino acid polypetide segment of DINO DNA.
