This is a writing assignment I use with my 8th grade ELA classes. Need students to start writing about their thinking? Have students complete independent reading or even group reading and then in a notebook have students pick one of the four stems to journal about. This resource includes four critical thinking questions that allows students to think through what they are reading. Each question also has a sentence starter included for differentiation purposes.
