Rhumus a Roma, Chutes and Ladders Game for Chapters 1 & 2
"Scivoli e Scalette" (Chutes and ladders). You need player pieces (students usually make their own) and dice. Each game gets one dye. When you land on square you have to write a sentence (on a separate piece of paper) using that word. I give the students a copy of the book to help them if they get stuck. I collect the paper with sentences when they are done. Sometimes I tell them to play twice. This activity they work together and have some fun reviewing the story.
