Are you looking for a more exciting way to practice rhythm reading?Practice reading quarter note, eighth note, quarter note rests, and half note rhythms with "Koosh Quest." Students take turns tossing a koosh ball at the SMART board and a rhythm pattern will pop up. Students can read the rhythm together with the entire class or individually,in which case the Teacher can assess their rhythm reading skills. The notebook includes a variety of the rhythm patterns.

Identify the instruments of the orchestra with this fun activity. Students take turns tossing a koosh ball at the SMART board, and a picture or question about an instrument will pop up. Students may identify the instrument individually or the class may identify the instrument together. Includes instruments from all four families.

This is a lesson that introduces notes on the treble staff, as well as D below the staff and middle C. After an introduction to the staff, a 30-card quiz is used to reinforce the note names. Students identify the note shown by writing the answer on a line, then remove the screen shade to reveal the correct answer. This is great for both individual and group work, and can be made into a competitive or non-competitive game as needed.
