Quel Type de Film? game: Practicing French Cinema/ Film Vocab
This flipchart game is used with dry-erase boards to practice film genres in French. It was created based on Chapter 12 of the Bon Voyage, Level One, French series.
Game premise: On one slide, I describe a popular film in French. Then, students must guess on their dry-erase boards the title of the film (in English) and the genre of the film (in French).

I created this flipchart to accompany my Les Pirates des Caraïbes Easy Reader Unit. There are after reading activities for each chapter that work as excellent extension activities for advanced readers, homework assignments to deepen learning, or exit tickets after a day of reading. Adjectives masculine/feminine singular/plural
Activities were students generate hypotheses from observation, test the hypotheses and express a conclusion are HOT (High Order of Thinking). I’m using this flipchart to teach a “weird” grammatical concept of French. Adjectives agree in gender and number with the noun they describe.
The conclusion to this lesson is what would happen if this rule would exist in English. I lead the students to that type of sentence: The desk is green / the desks are greens.
