How To Write A Speech
My students are required to write a 4-H speech. This was my first time teaching a group how to write a speech. I created this flipchart to explain components of a speech along with a rubric.
The grading rubric is embedded into the flipchart. In the notes section on the final slide, the directions explain how to open the grading rubric. The grading rubric is open to change. You can change it to fit your requirements or needs for your students.

Coin Values - ActivInspire Container Flipchart Fun

Class Dojo Activotes
Incorporating activotes is a great way to assess student understanding. My second grade students LOVE learning about growth mindset through the use of ClassDojo and this is a great summative assessment/activity to see if students understand the message that is being conveyed through the chapter videos. It also assesses the students listening comprehension and is just plain FUN.

This is a fun game I have played with kids to get their minds thinking. It would be great for a class reward party or indoor recess. Pick a letter and the team has to come up with a word in each category that begins with that letter. Depending on the age, you can change the time each round.
