I rarely have a hard time distributing Boomwhacker Tubes to my students using this strategy. Students randomly select a card from a hat that contains one of the Boomwhacker letters. The student is then assigned that tube to play for the class. Students especially in the younger grades feel this is a "fair' way of doing things.
