Rainforest SMART Board Thematic Unit
This is a Schoolwide Enrichment Unit for grades K-2.

Earth Day Recycling SMART Board Attendance Activity w/ SOUND
Celebrate Earth Day and encourage recycling through the use of this fun and engaging SMART Board attendance activity. Students move their recyclable item to the recycling bin. Students then click the bin to hear the recycling truck back up and do its job!

Ah, Earth Day! This is an Earth Day sorting activity for the Smart Board™. It is suitable for primary grades (Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade, mostly). Sorting items into categories is a basic math skill. Students use the interactive whiteboard to sort Earth Day items into two labeled trash cans or recycling bins.A gentle “ping” sounds if they are correct. Incorrect items bounce back out. I like to call this, Super Attendance because each student gets a DIFFERENT icon. Other attendance trackers have the same pictures with different student names. Energy Word Vocabulary Game
A board game to play with either select students or the entire class (4 teams can be each color).
Directions: Players move tokens around the board to finish first. When landing on the squares with dice on them, players have to then use one of the 6 "jump" cards to get to spelling challenge for an energy word. (If no one lands directly on one, we use the 'last to cross it' rule to make each card get used.) There is also a jump card on the finish square for the first to reach that.
