This is a quick fun formative assessment on fractions. You can easily change the requirements for different artistic outcomes. Run extra copies because each time I've done this activity I get at least half of the class wanting to make another picture. Depending on the level of students I allow them to use half or quarter squares as well. I also place extra copies in my math corner for students to go to during their free time.
