You can use these for extra credit or group assignments. There are (5) total assignments/projects that your students can choose from. The way I set it up is to allow the student to receive up to 50 extra credit points if they completed all 5 assignments before the due date. They will then write about two ways in which the work of each has made a difference in today's world. For younger students, you could have the students choose one African American to research instead of doing all three.
