READY PLAYER ONE~ CREATE YOUR OWN AVATAR PROJECT**UPDATED 2023**
Students create their own avatar online and write a reflection piece to accompany the reading of the novel Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.We have 90 minute blocks and this took the entire time. They were able to print all avatars in color and type and print their reflections. Only 2-3 students did not finish in the 90 minute block and they were required to finish the writing portion for homework. Rap it Out! When Music Meets ELA
This guide with activity sheets is a motivational tool to get students to write in the form of rapping. By tying music and ELA, would motivate students to write to create their own lyrics to later add to a digital audio workstation program so that they can perform their song to their classmates.
