Indigenous Animal X-Ray Visual Art and Science Activity

Students use Indigenous art techniques (particularly ‘rarrk’ i.e. cross-hatching) to compose an X-ray drawing of their favourite animal. Any media can be used for this activity e.g. pencil, paint, pen, crayon. To develop this resource, I adapted some information and images from Artyfactory. You can access further detail

Very fun & easy quick mini lesson about Herbivores, Carnivores, and Omnivores. Very easy to execute and teacher student practice. Very basic concepts that would serve as a class warm up, review, or intro.

Skeleton Anatomy for Day of the Dead. I needed a simple way to explain the skeleton anatomy to my middle school art class for the Day of the Dead holiday. I developed a worksheet and a PowerPoint to help my students understand the parts of the skeleton, so they would have an easier time drawing it for their Day of the Dead projects.
