Written in boxes on 4 pages of this Publisher template are ideas for a school journal jar; this is similar to something I used all my years of teaching. When you need a step for reading groups or workshops, the journal jar is like a "free write" option for students. I would recommend printing this out on card stock & then cutting out each journal prompt to put in a jar or basket of some kind.
