Handspan Lab
This activity is presented to students using the promethean board. Students are first preassessed on their knowledge of graphs. Afterwards they participate in a lab activity, measuring hand spans, and graphing.

Kuku Rhythm from West Africa
Kuku - from the forest region of Guinea, a rhythm originally used to welcome initiates back into the village. Play this for your students and give them a space to move in. They'll know what to do. "Let the drums dance you!" is what I have always said. We all share a heart beat. The drum and the rhythms they make are the heart of African music.
