Relay Race Game
This game is always a hit and can transform any review into an engaging, competitive activity. This adds movement and collaboration to the classroom!
Setup:
Project the relay race board and movable pawns (geometric shapes) on a SMARTBoard. Take any test/quiz review, or worksheet and put the questions on flashcards. Divide the class into teams of 2 - 4 students and assign each team a shape to use as a pawn. Pick one student in each team to be a "runner".

This is the review activity for you!! Here in this game, students enjoy review a topic while in a race to fill up their "Think Tanks". The teacher would make two teams, the teams choose a monster, which will link to a slide with a problem. Both teams attempt the problem, whom ever gets it right will fill up their "Think Tanks"!

This test focuses on using titles and pictures to predict and infer. It is made for the senteo smart response system but can easily be used on the smartboard as whole group/small group practice or with paper/pencil for a test. It helps the students practice infering based on clues and helps them prepare for state reading tests.
