TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have loved teaching since I was a young child, often playing school...with my favorite role being the teacher. I have been teaching for over 20 years, and have a special affection for the primary grades. During this time I have learned and grown so much from my teaching experiences and my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Providing hands on experiences, creative approaches, music, poetry, chants, art, and whatever else I can find or create to enrich learning for my students is essential to my teaching style. I also understand the importance of balanced instruction, so you will find a mixture of creativity and structure in my classroom.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In addition to teaching, I enjoy writing, graphic arts and photography. The visual world is my playground. I have found myself working in graphic design since I was in grade school, and am continuously excited about the doors the digital world keeps opening to me. An opportunity to write and create for TPT is a blessing, and I look forward to what I can share with others.
