By The Family and Consumer Science Classroom My name is Lori, and I’m the face behind The Family and Consumer Science Classroom! I started teaching Family and Consumer Science in 2007, and over the years, I have taught both middle and high school levels, as well as different levels of students in both rural and inner city schools.
My teaching style mostly consists of a hands-on approach. I think students learn best when they are hands-on and can be very beneficial in real life skills.

I received my undergraduate degree from Ashland University (BS Education, Family and Consumer Science). I started on my Master’s Degree at Youngstown State University and finished my first Master’s Degree at Ashland University in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently working on my second Master’s Degree from Ashland University for Technology Facilitator.
