ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have taught at the high school level for 9 years. I coordinated the publication of my students’ autobiographical book, Behind the Door of G115 and its sequel, What You Don’t See. I work with the 9th grade curriculum writing team at the county level, and at the school level, serve on a variety of committees and initiatives. I have a passion for using social media as a collaborative educational tool, and I interact with over 60,000 followers on Instagram daily. I am one of the main presenters for the Keeping the Wonder Workshop, a hands-on professional development event designed for secondary English teachers. In addition, I present on various matters relating to education at the school, county, and national level.
