By Teaching Differently I have experience teaching students pre-K through 6 with varying disabilities, including autism, emotional/behavioral disabilities, and developmental delays. I currently teach primary special education, and that's definitely my niche! My background is in social work, but teaching is where my heart is. There's no where else I'd rather be!
I love finding creative ways to tap into students' diverse learning modalities. As a special education teacher, I adapt most materials to include a visual or tactile element. While these are often crucial modifications for students with disabilities, I believe that all students can benefit from learning in multiple modalities. When creating my products, I always try to include clear visuals and incorporate a hands-on element.
