TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in Maryland since 2009. I joined a teacher prep program in Baltimore City and after a year and a half, I joined one of the best Charter Schools in Baltimore. I have taught Pre-K, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and Elementary Spanish. I am now a 1st grade dual language teacher in a Title 1 school in Maryland. I enjoy teaching students about culture and language. I believe that in today's society, our children need to learn and embrace different cultures.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching students through meaningful workshops (centers), hands-on activities, writing projects, and real-experience. I believe that every child should see the importance of how the work they do today will impact their tomorrow.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Graduated from John Hopkins University with a Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2011. Completed my Bachelors degree in Psychology at the UMBC. Before starting college I worked/volunteered in different Adult ESOL programs as a teacher. During my last year of high school, I completed a year-long internship at a local elementary.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am married to an amazing husband who also happens to be a teacher. I am the proud mom of two very lovable boys. I hope one day to expand my family and continue to work on balancing my life and work. I love my school, my team, my students and their families. I can see myself teaching here for many years and growing old with this school.
