TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! My name is Danielle. I have been working as a public school-based speech-language pathologist for the past 24 years. I work mostly with PreK through 1st grade students. I have all sorts of disabilities on my caseload. This constantly challenges me as a therapist. I love creating data collection forms for therapy and intervention, and speech CRAFTS!

MY TEACHING STYLE

You wouldn’t know it from the looks of my home, but I like my speech folders to be very organized. I love creating assessments and data tracking products that make my life as a speech pathologist easier. I hope that you find my products to be helpful in your journey, whether you are a new speech therapist or a seasoned SLP!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Without a doubt, creating products for TeacherspayTeachers has driven me to be a more creative, more organized, better speech pathologist. I have benefited personally from this and my students have grown from this.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Appalachian State University. I LOVE the mountains! I then began my journey as a speech therapist in my hometown in South Carolina…gasp…(I was so clueless)… Later, I received my Masters plus 30 from the University of South Carolina.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love hedgehogs…we have a pet hedgehog as our therapy room mascot! His name is Houdini. The kids love him.
