TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a kindergarten teacher ever since I began my career as an educator in 2006. I adore everything about teaching the little half-pints and am always looking for new ways to spark their interests. After spending a couple years teaching the "big kids" in 6th grade, I am now hopping back down to kinder so I can team-teach / job share with the absolute best teacher I know (my wife, Mrs. Padania)! Lucky me!!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to teach (and learn) through play. When we learn through the context of play + games, our anxiety levels come down, our attention spikes, and it’s just plain fun! (Woohoo!)

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Personal Honors: World’s Greatest Uncle, 2009 – Present. Professional Honors: My biggest honor as a teacher is simply to see my students’ faces light up each day when they inspect the agenda items on the white board. Professional Honors (part 2): 2015-16 Teacher of the Year, Fremont Unified School District

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a B.A. in English (with an emphasis in writing and in explaining the difference between the words "further" & "farther").

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I absolutely have the best job in the world. Outside of teaching, I love art, reading, and traveling!
