TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! This is my eighth year teaching. I've taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade and I LOVE it all!

MY TEACHING STYLE

In three words: fun, engaging, and simple (as it can possibly be) I believe that If students aren't having fun, they aren't learning. If they aren't engaged in the work you are asking them to do, it's a waste of time, and if there aren't simple, established routines and procedures in place, everyone gets frustrated. I strive to incorporate engaging and meaningful learning experiences for my students into the classroom everyday. In my experience, the most meaningful and long lasting learning experiences for students have to be fun and include some kind of novelty. I also believe (and I'm sure you do too) that this job requires a crazy amount of dedication, lots of long hours, extra work, and frankly is just too dang hard to not absolutely love what you do as an educator. I love this profession! :)
