TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for sixteen years. I have taught kindergarten, first, and have been an instructional coach!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I tell my students daily, "If you can teach someone else, than you have truly learned what I teach you." My goal is to be a facilitator of my students learning. I teach them with interactive lessons that utilize our 1:1 iPads. This helps them to be problem solvers, discuss with each other and truly enjoying their learning in our room!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher of the Year 2009 National Board Certification in Early/Middle Childhood Literacy

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelors in Early Childhood Education Masters in Reading Education Masters in School Leadership

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I enjoy presenting at conferences and consulting with schools on both using Twitter in the classroom and 1:1 iPads. I have a great time working with teachers and giving them the tools I use in my room so that they can successfully integrate technology in their rooms!
