TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Educator of 20 years. I've had thousands of observation opportunities as a peer observer, providing teacher feedback from PPCD through High School. Having visited hundreds of classrooms, has given me enormous insight and opportunities to "borrow ideas" - after all, aren't the best ideas borrowed ideas?

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe providing as much hands on learning as possible, allowing students to manipulate models and tools, and use their creativity through collaborated tasks/projects.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

National Board Certified Teacher, Early Childhood Generalist Teacher of the Year

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Graduated from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) with a B.S. in Education and a Specialty in Reading. Received my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love the outdoors, drinking coffee on the terrace, growing a green thumb, feeding the birds, and most of all family time! Nothing is more sacred to me than family.
