By Michelle Oakes I have been teaching 19 years. This will be year 15! 14 years were been in first grade and I'm now our school's reading specialist. I absolutely love teaching. I have always dreamed of being a teacher and feel blessed to be able teach.
I love to use hands on and inquiry based learning. I believe in making learning fun while still integrating and mastering the standards.
I've been nominated for Disney's Teacher of the year twice, as well as included in Who's Who Among America Teachers for two years.
I have a degree in Elementary Education grades K-8 from Miami University and a Masters in Reading from Xavier University.
