TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my 11th year teaching in Salisbury Middle School. I've taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and did my teaching experience in elementary school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a somewhat new teacher, I have realized that I absolutely do not like textbooks. They hardly ever fit the standards we need to teach; therefore, I tend to create my own materials!

WMDT Teacher of the Month

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

My undergrad was done at Salisbury University. My major is Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. I studied at Walden University to gain my masters in Teacher Leadership.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

When I am not teaching, I spend my time with my family. My son is almost 3 and we love to spend evenings on the beach! I enjoy teaching, especially with my "at-risk" students and living life to the fullest!
