By Kirsten's Kaboodle I have worked as a classroom teacher for 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades, a Reading Recovery teacher, a School Counselor for grades PK-6, and an ESL teacher for K-6. I am passionate about sharing ideas and resources that nurture students.... in heart and mind.
I have been trained in Balanced Literacy, Reading Recovery, and the the SIOP model for ESL learners. I have a Master's Degree in School Counseling and always take the "whole child" into account when teaching, interacting, or assessing students.
