TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 18 years of experience teaching in the elementary classroom. I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 4th grade. I was also a technology facilitator for 3 years where I taught all grades K-6. Subjects taught: Math, Language Arts (Reading, Writing, Spelling, and Grammar), Science, Social Studies, Health, Computer Skills

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in making learning fun and engaging for students while offering a safe, nurturing environment. I have my master's degree in Educational Technology, so I love to incorporate digital activities into the classroom. I believe all students can learn, and I like to find innovative ways to engage them daily while also meeting the needs of all learning styles.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2001 where I received my BS degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. In 2006 I earned my MAed in Instructional Technology from Appalachian State University.
