TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught music to all ages as an elementary teacher and a graduate choral assistant. I've conducted a variety of choirs including Mixed, Men's, Women's, and Show. I also studied piano for 15 years and taught private lessons.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I truly believe that music encompasses several subject areas including history, literature, science, and math. To understand music's influence in the world, the study of cultures should be forefront. Often the study of history gets compartmentalized. I hope to bridge that disconnect in my teaching of music, as well as show how the other subjects aid in understanding music.
